Het was weer een erg mooi jaar. Mooie albums, geweldige live muziek. Ik
denk dan aan The Delines en Con Brio op Take Root. Villagers waren daar ook,
maar die had ik al in Doornroosje gezien, en dat was zo mooi en zuiver en
tinkelend dat ik eigenlijk niet goed meer naar het album kan luisteren. Ook in
Roosje gezien: The Staves, Woven Hand en The Districts, en nog het een en ander,
maar die drie waren om totaal verschillende redenen groots... Oh, en de jongens
van American Aquarium, ik zag ze bij meneer Frits in Eindhoven, laatste show van
de tour, uitgelaten en een beetje loom, maar erg goed. Maar het lijstje met de
tien platen van het jaar. Hoewel het er makkelijk 16, 17 hadden kunnen zijn...
